Quote:: This book is more like a guide for me rather than just straight through 1 time reading. It provides excellent information about all the important economic reports that affect the currency markets as well as other markets. If I have a question about a certain report, this is the book I'll look at. Like previous reviews before me, I am a big fan of the "practical" section of each report page. It tells how each report will affect the dollar for currency markets. All the information is well organized and is displayed in structured formatting. The book is an easy read as far as terminology so anyone with little economic background can understand it. I highly recommend this book as reference guide as well as a great read to new traders.

Quote:: The Secrets of Economic Indicators is a good book that discusses the fundamental aspects of the financial markets in a way that is not too â€˜heavyâ€™ for newbies and casual traders. It explains economic terms and events and how it affects the markets in a way that is not too technical. The thing that I love in his book is where he wrote a â€œbeginnerâ€™s guideâ€™ that clarifies bookish economic terms. The essence of his book comes in letting the readers know the important economic releases in the United States and some parts of the world (Euro zone, Japan, etc.) and their gravity in affecting oneâ€™s investments. His ideas on how to spot investment opportunities are better communicated to his readers because of his style.

The author manages to expound on the dynamics and effects of various economic reports in a comprehensive and concise manner. A summary of the market impact is given after the detailed explanations for each economic indicator - and this is what I found most useful and relevant for currency traders.
