This book is a good read especially if you want to know more about fundamentals and how to use it to your advantage. It contains important information about fundamentals and is written in clear and concise way. It also contains some examples that will help you understand it more. John Forman, the author, did a great job and I recommend this book to all traders.

The over-all content of the book is inconsistent and unintelligible. There are unexplained charts and typo/grammatical errors. Trading is a complicated topic and the author made it even worse for me when he explained it through discussing forex; and yet the trading system he provided in the appendix is for stocks. He dealt with technical indicators like a cautious skater skating over thin ice, never delving beneath the surface. In fact, there are several topics in the book that he barely touched and just stated that these topics are already thoroughly discussed in other books.

Do not buy this book if you don’t have extra space in your bookshelf—because it will surely just stay there. Newbie and beginner traders are better off to study in an online school and/or do their own research.

This book sucks out all enthusiasm I have for trading. The author peppered the pages with lots of illustrations, examples of market trades, and testimonials from traders. The subtitle is slightly offbeat because there are only a couple of ways a beginner trader can ‘build a winning strategy’ using this book. The route towards a successful trading is not clearly defined. Trading aspirants would expect definite steps to follow.

Scammers are abundant in this industry and clear-cut recommendations on how to avoid getting scammed might have helped. The author also didn’t include the proper ways to seek credible and reputable brokers. Rate is low.

This book is clearly written for beginners in trading, both in forex and stocks. As an introductory read for newbies, the book attempts to touch almost every topic that will entice the interest of would-be traders. The basics of risk management and market analysis seem to be the highlights and they’re presented quite clearly. The use of text boxes has effectively conveyed key concepts and bits of real experience by real traders. It’s really a great way to start learning trading. Definitely, highly recommended to beginners!

The author of this book is also the creator of a training program for individuals aspiring to be professional traders. So obviously the book was written for beginners in trading. Almost every topic that would be relevant to traders who are just starting to learn is discussed clearly and concisely. There are lots of helpful examples that will surely whet one’s appetite for further reading. It’s like getting a warm welcome into the world of trading. Thank you, John for a great introduction!

I find this book very realistic! I’ve known Mr. John even before I bought a copy. I’ve been following his teachings at the BabyPips Forum. His kindness and patience got me was impressive that he earned both my respect and admiration. Mr. John always answers all questions. John Forman showed that he is a real ‘expert’ trader by giving equal attention on both Technical and Fundamental Analysis.

I admire the author of this book because he’s able to discuss forex trading like it’s the most interesting topic on earth. He explained the basics thoroughly and made the fundamentals sound easy. He’s got style, he’s organized, and he’s very persuasive. He made it clear (and I agree as well) that hands-on learning and experience are the best ways to acquire forex trading skills. I now apply all the things I’ve learned from his discussions about the different trading systems and strategies on my practice account.

I purchased this book because I wanted to learn more about trading and this book did not disappoint me at all. It covers essential topics you need to know when you want to start trading.

I also found John’s writing to be clear and concise. He covered important areas such as 1) having a plan, 2) having a reliable system, 3) the importance of testing and of course 4) final application.

This book has really changed my views about trading which is why I would recommend this book to all aspiring traders who also value learning and development.
