A narrative book that explain that the most important part of a trader is discipline and know him/herself. I didn't fall in love with the protagonist though as I found him too stupid to be true (especially at the beginning of his journey) but overall nice reading with an happy ending.

This book manages to combine the basics of forex trading, trading psychology, and a bit of economic analysis in an entertaining narrative. The book can be read in just one sitting because the story is funny and fascinating, making the book hard to put down. The most important lesson I learned from the book? Rule number one: Don't get too cocky.

Good book for budding traders. It details the "life cycle" of a new trader, his ups and downs and how he, with the help of a mentor, finds the discipline he needs to trade successfully. This book enables a new trader to get into trading with the right mindset and the right reasons. It's something that every retail trader can relate to.

A fictional story that captures all the real life mistakes that most noob traders go through. I think anyone who reads this book will stop at least once and smirk, saying "Ha - that happened to me too!" Personally, it made me realize how disciplined a trader is and that correcting mistakes early on could lead to a successful trading career.

Yes, this book is a fascinationg easy read. Yes, I related to everything that the protagonist Harry Bains experienced in his forex adventure. BUT, this is fiction, albeit funny and well written. Any trader would find this book an enjoyable escape. It is not the forex bible or anything close to it. There is no instruction, just the witty writtings of Rob Booker. Good Fun!!!

WOW! This book is definitely an eye-opener! Everyone will surely enjoy reading the book! Rob Booker's made the learning phases of trading very much enjoyable. He showed in his book that knowing your own self is never easy—and accepting the reality is also difficult, too. In this book, Rob had created a character based on a newbie trader named Harry Banes. This character is lovable and—oh, I shouldn’t be discussing him… hahaha... Check him out. Go get your book and meet Harry.

Unbelievable! I am truly a newbie! But you know what? I was hooked with this Rob Booker’s ‘Adventures of a Currency Trader.’ While I’m reading the book, I’m also daydreaming like Harry Banes. He’s the fictional main character in the book, but he seemed real because of the excellent writing technique used by Rob Booker. This man really left quite an impression on me—making me believe that dreams are free but you must work hard to make them come true. I’ll learn and study the trade so that I’ll be a successful trader someday.
