I've been with IBFX for over a year now, and I haven't experienced any of the problems reported by people from 2009.

It wasn't too long ago that they introduced their "Core" order execution alongside their execution stats. After seeing such good stats (which, the NFA would nail their balls to the door if they were falsified) I opened my account with them. And their execution is great. Not perfect, but much better than my previous brokers.

I'd like to see another broker give you 99.9% execution (hell, I'd like to see a broker even tell me what their execution is!).

Watch out! If you start to win they'll hit you hard with slippage, frozen feed, account disconnections, and the inability to enter trades or exit trades with their error message "Off Quotes".... "Off Quotes".... "Off Quotes." Even when I have maximum deviation set to the maximum setting the "Off Quotes" message appears and prevents me from entering at an optimum moment. The same with exits. I have been using IBFX for a few months and had been relatively satisfied until recently. Recently I started identifying better points of entry and exit, catching nice moves and the entire performance and behavior of IBFX radically changed. Suddenly "Off Quotes" appears almost every time I try to enter an order, or close an order. The data feed from IBFX now freezes and when the chart resumes I found there has been a big jump during the frozen feed. The account suddenly disconnects at the most inconvenient times for me interfering with my trading results. Terrible!

Cons - Too many requotes even if price has been sitting for a full minute. If I make a buy it will requote me. (I suspect they are using MetaTrader's Virtual Dealer Plug-in).

Overall, other than the requotes and overly wide spreads on occasion, this is a solid broker with good customer service. I've had no problems with them or my account.

Customer service was responsive when needed and they've managed the recent NFA's hedging ban quite nicely given the circumstances.

I would recommend this broker.

What I will write here probably doesn’t affect those with mini accounts or those who trade with less than $10,000. Otherwise, you can probably relate to me when I say IBFX is truly one of the worst brokers out there – ever!

I thought I heard wrong when people talked about stop loss hunting and brokers trading against them but I was able to prove them right when I opened an account. Seriously, they’ll let you take a position (of course) but closing YOUR trade it is up to THEM which means that if you’re making money, they won’t let you close your trade but if you’re losing… Tsk tsk.

To make my little “research” complete, I took the same position with another broker and surprise! I was able to close it easily – with profit mind you. I also compared the charts and true enough, there’s a difference in the same currency pair and time frame.

To top that all off, they have bad customer service!

I'm not a big fan of broker bashing, but my complaints are legit. After several "bad ticks" and other issues, I pulled my funds. My biggest problem was their lack of explaination when something would happen. I frequently had limit orders that would not fill and/or really bad slippage on stops. I saw the GJ spread at 37 pips once! ouch! Conclusion: I love MT4, but not with this broker...

Customer support is very important to me. I love how fast they attend to my questions. They're very friendly and eager to help.

Although the spreads do tend to widen much to your surprise - as it can happen any time, I still think they're a good broker.
